Description

Selling my Albin Vega Nr. 3014 “Old Dream”, after having lived aboard for 4 seasons. Life priorities have changed, so I don’t have enough time for liveaboard sailing anymore, unfortunately. Main selling points: - 3rd gen Albin Vega This is the third generation Albin Vega with Selden mast and boom and a reinforced deck. In this last production run the quality of Vega’s built was the highest. This boat is built in 1976 as #3014 out of roughly ~3500 produced. - New engine (€7.000) In 2021 the Volvo engine was replaced with a brand new 20hp Beta Marine engine (€7.000). Based on a Kubota block, the Beta Marine engine is about twice as fuel-efficient as the old Volvo, more silent, lighter in weight, and (much) easier to maintain. - Excellent sailing inventory The boat is very well equiped with a set of sails that are in as good as new shape. You have both the old and new mainsail, old and new genoa, and new jib. Besides that, of course also a symetrical spinaker. The boat is well-equiped both for racing and long-distance cruising. I lived aboard the boat for multiple summer seasons. - Windpilot windvane The boat comes equiped with a Windpilot Atlantic windvane, which mounts on the back of the boat and provides for hands-free cruising. I sailed the boat from Lübeck in northern Germany all the way to the Mediterranean, and most of those miles were sailed with the Windpilot in charge. It’s amazing. Because I lived aboard, this boat is overall in a very good condition. It is well-equiped for living aboard both in the hot Mediterranean conditions as well as colder climates in northern Europe, where it spent most of its live. The boat has a massive V-berth in the front that comfortably sleeps two, and two more quarterberths in the main cabin. Inventory (outside) - Sails: 2x main, 2x genoa, 1x jib, 1x symetric spinaker - Selden mainsail roller reefing - XXXX jib furler - Custom dogder + full cockpit tent - Custom wood protection around hull (protection in harbour) - Custom wood cockpit deck - Custom hardwood tiller - Windpilot Atlantic mechanical wind vane, incl. auxiliary rudder - Electrical autopilot (Nautech England) - Plastimo Contest compass (lighted, visible both inside and outside) - 100W solar panel - Detachable swimming ladder - Throwable life jacket + 15m line - 2x life lines - 5x fenders (dark navy) - 2x cushions outside - Extra: Old Viking offshore life raft (6 ppl) - Bilge pump (manual) Inventory (inside) - Custom ventilation on front cabin hatch - Custom indoor cushions - Full Jabsco marine toilet - Diesel heater: Ebersprächer - VHF: Dantronik RT 5000 R - GPS: Garmin GPS 126, 12 channel - Depth: Incastec Echopilot Classic Plus - Main saloon table (indoor, outdoor & side) - Propane 2-pot stove - Kettle, wok, 2 pans, bowl, cutleries, plates, french press, electric water boiler - 4x original Albin Vega drinking cups - V-berth mattress topper (extra comfortable to sleep) - Barometer + thermostat - Main cabin: cabjn lights + 3x extra lights (2x heads, 1x card table) - Front cabin: main light + 2x reading light above each V-berth bed - 5x 230V wall power plugs (2x kitchen, 1x front cabin, 2x left bakskist - 2x USB charging - Original name plate Maintenance & spares - Winch handle + 2x spare winch handle - Electric bilge pump (uninstalled) - Spare drive belt - Sail tape, spinaker tape, - Solder kit - 2x spare fuel filter - spare air filter - gelcoat repair kit - Epoxy repair kit - Varnish & woodwork maintenance kit - Spare hoses, pipes, clamps, screws, bolts, etc - Of course: duct tape, zip ties & WD40 ;-) - Well-equiped toolbox The boat is currently on the hard in Mallorca (Spain), close to Porto Colom harbour.
