Description

The Mascot 25 features an interior helm station and a tiller control in the cockpit. This well-built boat is a very stable touring vessel, suitable for coastal waters, performing well under motor and in windy conditions. With its shallow draft, it can navigate into shallow waters and due to its dimensions (8.00 x 2.75 meters), it can find a berth in any harbor. The draft ranges from approximately 1.15 to 1.25 meters depending on the load. Extensive refitting has been carried out over the last three years, resulting in the boat being in exceptionally good condition. Currently, the motorsailer is moored in the Stör river. The hull has been meticulously renovated, the antifouling stripped down to the gelcoat, and all seacocks replaced with composite valves. The log has been removed and replaced with an AirMar DSt 810 transducer (NMEA 2000) installed in the forward keel area. Seajet 034 antifouling in red, a self-polishing type, has been applied. The propeller shaft has been overhauled, a new shaft bearing and self-venting stuffing box installed, and the engine aligned. All ceiling panels in the salon, as well as the side walls, have been reupholstered with white faux leather covering. The aft area houses a separately accessible sleeping area with new cold foam mattresses, fitted sheets, and reupholstered ceiling panels. The boat boasts a galley, custom-made in winter 2023/2024, differing from the standard series. The pantry includes a large sink with faucet, a cutlery drawer, and a pull-out pantry. A modern stainless steel stove with two burners and an oven has been installed. The propane-operated stove can be controlled directly from the galley with a gas remote switch. The bathroom features a sink and a toilet, with the toilet's pump unit renewed during the refit. The fresh water tank has a capacity of 80 liters, and the pressure water pump was replaced in July 2024 with a new Jabsco pump. In the salon, the seat cushions were newly upholstered in winter 2022/2023 with high-quality fabrics and foams by a specialist, complemented by matching curtains. As part of the refit, the entire electrical system has been overhauled. Two shunt systems have been installed to measure flowing currents and voltages. The B2B charger, solar charge controller, and charger (all Victron) data can be displayed via Bluetooth. A new switch has been installed for control. The boat is equipped with a masthead rig with a furling system and a boom furling system from Sailtainer. The mainsail was crafted in 2023 by the sailmaker Faber and Münker from Kiel. The genoa, from 2019, had UV thread wind indicators added in 2023. All halyards and sheets are no older than three years. Two self-tailing Andersen winches, along with two halyard winches on the mast, facilitate sail handling effortlessly. The mainsail can be easily operated from the cockpit. The mast lines are also newly installed, connecting to the cables are a radio system, anchor, and tricolor light (LED technology) at the masthead, an electric horn, a new deck spotlight, and the steaming light. A NMEA network is installed, utilizing the Garmin multifunction display, Garmin VHF radio, Garmin AIS receiver, and the Airmar DST 810 for data processing. The boat comes with an anchor with approximately 8 meters of stainless steel chain and anchor line with lead core. Both in the cockpit and the salon, there is the option to insert a table into the designated slots. New rail covers and protective covers for the two self-tailing Andersen winches, as well as custom-made covers for the shrouds in "Navy Blue," complete the visual appearance. A fire blanket and two fire extinguishers (1x powder, 1x foam) ensure onboard fire safety. The inboard engine is well-maintained and regularly serviced by the current owner. In 2023, a new stainless steel exhaust manifold, water pump, and coolant sensor were installed. The injectors and valve clearance were also checked and adjusted by a specialist. In July 2024, the exhaust hose was replaced. A vent valve for the cooling water circuit is newly installed, and the cooling system was flushed in 2021. The 100.00-liter fiberglass fuel tank shows no signs of diesel pest. A Wema tank sender is installed but not yet integrated into the NMEA 2000 network. In the winter half-year 2023/2024, the option was added to operate the engine and gearbox from both the helm station and the cockpit. The offer includes cockpit cushions, fenders, ropes, and more. If required and desired, a suitable trailer can also be purchased.
