Description

This Interboat 16 from 2001 is a compact and accessible sloop, built by Interboat Watersport Schuiten B.V. The boat is 4.80 meters long and 2.05 meters wide, with a draft of 55 cm and an air draft of approximately 80 cm. Thanks to these dimensions, the sloop is ideal for use on inland waters such as lakes, ponds, and rivers. The hull is made of polyester, contributing to the durability and ease of maintenance of the boat. Motorization and technical specifications The sloop is equipped with a Vetus M2C5 inboard diesel engine with a power of 11 hp. The engine is electrically started and dates back to 2001, just like the boat. In 2024, a comprehensive maintenance service was carried out, during which the impeller, oil filter, diesel filter, V-belt, engine oil, gearbox oil, and coolant were replaced. The fuel tank has a capacity of 25 liters. The engine is operational, and the boat has two batteries, a battery charger, and shore power connection. Hull and underwater ship In the spring of 2024, the underwater ship was thoroughly addressed. The hull was almost completely sanded bare, coated with two layers of primer, and then treated with two layers of antifouling. No signs of osmosis were detected. The boat was last taken out of the water for maintenance in 2025. Interior and equipment The Interboat 16 features a wooden steering wheel and an inside steering with a single rudder. The cockpit is equipped with a red cushion set, showing some discoloration in places. The floor consists of a removable mat with a custom-made wooden floor in two parts on top. The rope fender is finished with a Turkish knot, adding to the sloop's classic look. For protection against sun and rain, the boat is equipped with a sprayhood with a sloping rear cover, made in 2023 by De Zeilerij from West-Knollendam. The cover is in Ocean Blue/marine with ivory-colored stitching and piping. Additionally, there is a separate bimini present (not original) and a winter cover with wooden poles and elastic cargo spiders for attachment to the trailer. Trailer and extras The sloop comes with a storage trailer. This trailer is unbraked, equipped with four rollers, a trailer winch, and a spare wheel. The trailer has always been used for winter storage and is equipped with handy wedges attached to the trailer. Extra Equipment on Board The extra equipment on board includes various useful and essential items for a safe and comfortable voyage. There is a spare battery for added security during longer trips. Paddles are also included, as well as a boat hook for easy pushing or pulling of the boat. For mooring, mooring lines are available, along with a loose anchor that can be used for temporary anchoring. Flags are also provided: the pennant flag is present, as well as the Dutch flag, although the flagpole is currently broken. Additionally, the cockpit features a practical seating area, ideal for relaxation on board. Finally, there are several fenders and lines available to prevent damage to the boat and other vessels during mooring or docking. Documentation and history Various documents are included with the boat, including the original purchase invoice, the sales contract, the Interboat 16 owner's manual, and the Vetus operating manual. VAT has been paid. The hull number is 16321F101. The sloop comes from the first owner, an enthusiast who used the boat for day trips on the Vinkeveense Plassen and the Vecht, among other places. The boat was used for recreational boating and was stored on land during the winter months under a winter cover. The current owner inherited the boat from his father but has decided to sell the sloop due to lack of personal use. This Interboat 16 from 2001 is a compact and stable sloop, suitable for pleasure trips on inland waters. The boat is equipped with a reliable diesel engine, an extensive set of equipment, and comes with a storage trailer. Thanks to its low air draft and limited draft, the sloop is versatile. The available documentation and maintenance history provide a good overview of the boat's use and technical condition. An interesting option for those looking for an accessible sloop with character.
