SUPER WELL MAINTAINED AND WELL EQUIPPED OYSTER 37 - CLASSIC IOR RACER, ELEGANT YACHT - NEW SPRAYHOOD AND COCKPIT TENT, NEW GARMIN CARD PLOTS AND A POWERFUL VOLVO PENTA D2-55 ENGINE FROM 2002. Oyster Marine is a reputable English quality shipyard and can be described as a quality and design counterpart to the Scandinavian Baltic, Swan and Sweden Yachts. In 1977, Holman & Pye designed the Oyster 37 for the one tonne class under the IOR rules. Their design aroused so much interest that 20 boats were sold before the first hull was cast. From February 1978 to December 79, the yard delivered over 37 boats. The Oyster 37 is a classic IOR racer with good upwind performance that can still challenge the newer boat designs on the racetracks. The boat has a fin keel of 3,190 kg. and is thus a 50% construction. This means that the boat is very stable / safe in all weather conditions and is also Lloyd's certified. A powerful QL BP800 bow thruster and electric control of the engine make port calls, even in smaller ports, a breeze. The sail wardrobe is from Elstrøm Sail and consists of an EPEX Genoa double taffeta, Mainsail in X-cut laminate and a Code 1 on a roll. In addition to the sail guard call, all falls and deeds have been changed, primarily to Dynema. The boat has always been in the hall in the winter, and has for the past 11 years been continuously upgraded with, for example, teak in the cockpit and descent, new slip pattern on deck, new windows on each side, all lines led to the cockpit, new batteries for both engine and consumption, new Victron battery charger, new Danfoss compressor for cooling box, newly renovated boiler and much more. This means that the boat today appears in a really good condition. There is plenty of space for shelter. The boat is solidly fitted in quality materials. There is a u pantry arrangement in the stb side by the decline, after which the salon's two sofas with a table in the middle follow. Above the sofa in the bb there is a raised bunk for safe sleep while sailing. Above the sofas on the stb side, cabinets with shelves and a 12 V LED TV are mounted. The front pack contains a raised double bed, below the berth there are cupboards with shelf and storage space. To the bb opposite the pantry there is a large card table, behind this there is direct access to a double bed. Everywhere there is much storage space in the spacious cupboards and drawers. In total, there are seven beds and thus space for crew - or family. This Oyster 37 is a solidly built, very well-sailing and in all areas very nicely equipped copy of a fast, sea-going cruiser and must stand as a very tempting alternative to a newer, but much smaller boat in the same price range.
